TransLink’s mandate is to provide a regional transportation system that efficiently moves people and goods. Rapid transit is part of this system, and planning for rapid transit South of the Fraser dates back to 1993, with Transport 2021, the first comprehensive transportation plan for our region.

Since then, community input and collaborative decision-making by all levels of government to support the regional growth strategy, environmental objectives, and the economic development of the region have led us to where we are today.
